MIKVE ISRAEL-EMANUEL

Walk on the sand covered floors of Mikvé Israel-Emanuel, the oldest synagogue in continuous use in the Americas. Consecrated in 1732, the synagogue stands majestically in the center of the colorful and historical Dutch colonial architecture of Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage city. The interior of the building was modelled after the Portuguese synagogue in Amsterdam.
