The Tambú Museum Shon Cola is a museum that highlights the history of one of our most valuable cultural expressions: the tambú. Tambú is the activity, the drum and the local music genre and dance form found in Curaçao. The collection provides information on the history of the tambú, the rituals, literature, the repression, and resistance of the tambú. The museum is surrounded by nature, an original wooden “paranda” truck from 1951 and traditional outdoor ovens for freshly baked bread on Sundays.
