What is the police presence like in Curaçao?

On a normal day you may see police around on patrols but they are generally not present in an obtrusive manner. If you have questions or need assistance you can always approach them and they can usually answer you in English, Dutch, and Spanish. If a police officer gives you an order please be sure to follow it as quickly as possible, just like you would at home.

In Curaçao we have a special police force (Politur) which has been trained specifically to help tourists with issues they may have in multiple languages. They have offices at Mambo Beach and the World Trade Center:
