What is the parking and gas situation in Curaçao?
Parking in Curaçao
Parking in Curaçao is generally easy and often free, except in the downtown area. In most parts of Punda and large sections of Otrobanda, parking costs 1 Cg per hour from Monday to Saturday, between 8 AM and 6 PM.
You can pay at parking meters using coins or a prepaid parking card, which can be purchased from parking attendants. Debit and credit cards are not accepted at the meters. However, you can download the Flowbird app to register and pay online using a credit card.
How to Pay for Parking:
1. Enter your license plate number at the meter.
2. Choose your payment method and parking duration.
3. Pay and collect your printed ticket.
4. Place the ticket on your dashboard, clearly visible to parking agents.
Important: If you paid at a parking terminal and need more time, you must purchase a new ticket and place it on your dashboard. If you paid via the Flowbird app, you can extend your parking session directly in the app.

Gas stations in Curaçao
Gas stations are abundant in Willemstad, but the further you move away from Willemstad, the less gas stations you'll find. If you plan to go for a long drive, be sure to fill up beforehand. At most gas stations you choose the pump you'd like to use, wait for your turn, park the car at the pump, and then pay at the counter before filling up. Some gas stations will have attendants who are more than happy to help you. Usually they will expect a small tip (which is by no means mandatory).
The price per liter is the same everywhere on the island and is posted on the pump itself. Credit cards are not accepted at gas stations, but debit cards and cash (Guilders or Dollars) are.
