What are the requirements for getting married in Curaçao?
Curaçao offers countless possibilities to make your wedding unforgettable.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Send a written request to the municipality informing that you want to get married. The letter must be signed by the couple.
Send two dates to get married and time.
Birth certificates with the names of the parents.
International declaration of not being married issued by the civil registry of your country and an apostille / legalization.
If you are divorced or widowed, please bring a copy of the certificate of divorce or death of the spouse plus a certified apostille. The certification must be carried out by the embassy of the Netherlands in your country of residence.
Please note that none of these documents may have been issued within a period of more than 6 months with respect to the wedding day.
If you decide to bring a witness, he or she must be a minimum of 21 years old. In order to register a witness requires the full name, address and date of birth. The witness will need a copy of their passport up to date. Can apply for a temporary residence. The wedding planner can take care of dealing with local witnesses.

All documentation must be original, recent and certified legally.
